Thursday

Absent

I was caught out, again, by another absent night,
As I lay there in bed, whilst you lay comfortably tight,
In arms which squeezed you, until you turned red,
Cheeks blushing with a feeling, fleeing through your head.

Tuesday

Pancake Post

Flat you sat, after a smack on the pan
with the spatulas bare undserside smothering you down.

Bubbled and baked, my delicate round,
your edges softly bathing in sugary sweet favourings.

You're reminiscent of us all, depending on your mood.
Either, fat, like our heads or thin, like our skin.

Tuesday

A Year

Justified appreciation noted,
For everyone’s benefited.

Moving altogether rowdily,
And perfectly respectfully,
Mushily, anatomy yearns.

Judgements, unfairly noted,
Join unsightly landscapes,
As utter gutters.

Seemingly emphatic, perhaps,
Occasionally cowardly too.

Never overtly visible,
Deliberately exiled clues.

Saturday

Below

It fell
It came
It breathed and refrained
From over staying its welcome
Becoming old friends

It stopped just short
Of making a home
Deep within
Deep of your thought

Collapsing an idea
Wholly of our own
Maintaining an attitude
Foreign and unknown

Seeking an end
An answer within truth
Absent still absent
Within still within
Outside

Now.
Will you please,
once again,
begin

Wednesday

For a man

Colour me blue. Im a breathless fool.

I am so down. Further down than the ground.

Monday

I feared these present years,
The middle twenties,
When deftness disappears,
And each event is
Freighted with a source-encrusting doubt,
And turned to drought.
